What are the causes of varicose veins?

Venöz yetmezlik toplumda erişkin bireylerde %25-50 oranında görülebilmekte olup buna sebep olan birçok etken sayılabilir. Bunlardan bazıları uzun süre ayakta kalmak, sigara kullanımı, gebelik, obezite, hareketsiz yaşam, yüksek tansiyon, venlerde pıhtılaşma ve genetik faktörlerdir. Varis görülme sıklığı her iki cinste de yaşla beraber artış göstermekte olup kadınlarda erkeklere göre daha sıktır.

The most common complaints in venous insufficiency are leg pain, fatigue, burning sensation, swelling, itching and tingling sensation, and they significantly impair the quality of life of patients. Venous insufficiency may occur in the clinic only as a cosmetic problem, but it can also cause serious skin problems such as deep wounds called ulcers.

What is the treatment for varicose veins?

The main method used in varicose veins is to eliminate the problematic vein. It is closed with the adhesive (gum) method, which is the latest technology and treatment method. With this method, our problematic vein is closed immediately after the application of glue. This is a local procedure and is definitely not a surgery.

You can go home immediately after the procedure. There are no risks or complications during and after the procedure, because all our procedures are performed under ultrasound guidance.
