Orthopedics and Traumatology is the branch of medicine that studies the musculoskeletal system and its problems. In this area, both surgical and non-surgical methods are applied to prevent and treat congenital, acquired or trauma-induced disorders that change the morphology and function of the trunk. The word orthopedics is formed by combining the words orthos (smooth) and paedia (child).
