How to Treat Urinary Tract Infection?

A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection that occurs anywhere in the urinary system. The urinary system includes the kidneys (pyelonephritis), ureters, bladder (cystitis), and urethra.
RISK FACTORS:

Symptoms:
Bladder -cystitis-:
- Pain or burning when urinating.
- Frequent urination.
- Feeling the need to urinate even though your bladder is empty.

Kidney -pyelonephritis-:
- Fire.
- Shake.
- Lower back pain or pain in the side of the back.
- Nausea and vomiting.
Diagnosis:
- Ask about symptoms (history).
- Physical examination.
- Urine and blood tests if necessary (CBC CRP and FULL URINE ANALYSIS).
Treatment:
The most common treatment for UTI is oral antibiotics (pre:CIPRO -Ciprofloxacin- 500mg tb), panicils (paracetamol 500mg tb and Buscopan 10mg tb) and plenty of fluids, which can also be given intravenously in the emergency room.

- Keep the genital area clean and dry.
- Drink plenty of fluids, especially water.
- Urinate after sexual activity.
- Minimize douching, spraying or applying powder to the genital area.
