SARS COV-2 Antibodies

With Covid antibody tests, it can be tested whether you have had the disease or if you have been vaccinated, whether an antibody response has occurred.
Antibodies against Spike (S) and Nucleocapsid (N) proteins of the widely used SARS COV-2 virus are measured.
It is expected that antibodies will develop against both proteins with innate immunity and dead virus vaccine (Sinovac – Coronavac).
Different kits have different units and therefore different ranges of results. Therefore, it is not correct to compare different measurement methods with each other.
In addition, although there is no data showing that higher antibody response will provide better immunity, it is thought that our body will recognize the virus and produce an immune response, and when the virus is encountered, it will be protected from the disease by developing an antibody response with memory cells. However, there is not enough data that the presence of antibodies will not make the person sick again.
According to the data announced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), total antibody, IgG or IgM measurement has no superiority and/or advantage-disadvantage over each other.
